Versatile Hybrid Disk Expansion Enclosure

With high density, high scalability, and cost-effective CAPEX, the QuantaVault JB4242 is an external disk expansion unit which carries 24 hot-swappable 3.5”/2.5” 12Gb SASIII/ 6GB SATAIII HDDs/ SSDs and 8 hot-swappable 2.5” 12Gb SASIII/6Gb SATA III SSDs. JB4242 can be shared by up to four servers simultaneously via four external mini-SAS HD ports. The system comes with hot-swappable, redundant components like power supplies, system FANs, SAS interface modules and SSD modules. The JB4242 is perfectly tailored for enterprises and SMBs that are seeking outstanding throughout and IOPS performance in a compact form factor size.

Flexible Hybrid Storage Structure

JB4242 supports 24 hot-swappable 3.5″/2.5″, 12Gb SASIII/6Gb SATAIII, HDDs/SSDs and 8 hot-swappable 2.5″ 12Gb SASIII/6Gb SATAIII SSDs in a 4U enclosure. The “24+8” hybrid architecture allows the system to increase its IOPS and throughput performances while maintaining high storage capacity, with up to 240TB of storage capacity and 16TB cache pool. Users can configure various disk options to address their unique needs and performance requirements.

Remote Management

The JB4242 supports remote management via RJ45 port and IPMI function. The remote management feature allows users to monitor and manage the JBOD through QSM (Quanta System Manager) and QJM (Quanta JBOD Manager) anytime, anywhere.

QuantaVault JB4242 supports high-efficiency redundant power supplies, hot-swappable system FANs, and dual SAS interface modules to ensure system availability and continuous business in mission-critical enterprise storage environments.
